Chapter.81 05/18/2024 Deep Space Domain Lord's Weekly Journal

Hey everyone! It's time for another weekly journal!

We knocked out a huge milestone this week! I successfully finished the course promo and the interview stream with boss Miru! Even though I had my interview outline and a full script prepped, my nerves were through the roof right before going live. Sesame Paste and I were both panicking LMAO. I had to keep taking deep breaths to calm down. But the moment we met up and I heard boss's voice, I felt completely grounded. She's incredibly professional, super talented, and so approachable, so my anxiety faded as soon as the stream started. I stumbled over my words a little bit, but I don't think it was a big deal, right?

Everyone seemed to think I did a decent job and kept a good pace. I'll definitely have more experience under my belt if I do another stream like this in the future! Opportunities like this are super rare, and I'm really grateful to SODAART for giving me the chance to share the stage with boss Miru. I tweeted that this was my first time doing an interview stream, but I was actually wrong. I later remembered doing a Q&A stream before, but that one was way more casual, so it still felt pretty different to me. Plus, we had the added mission of promoting the course this time. I hope everyone who watched felt inspired to check out the classes!

Outside of the stream, I also binged *The Bridge Curse 2* this week! I have to say, knocking out a game in one sitting hits way different than playing it in chunks. It's so much easier to keep the story straight in your head. The escape mechanics in the sequel are way simpler than the first game, and the lantern blocking one hit gives you a lot more breathing room. The puzzle difficulty felt about the same, but the biggest upgrade for me was the character animations—their facial expressions and body language felt way more fluid and natural, which was a huge plus. The part that stuck with me the most was having to exorcise the little Red Riding Hood ghost with a Seven Star Sword USB drive. Her character design is actually super cute—the giant eyes give off a bit of an uncanny valley vibe, but she's still adorable!

=== Spoiler warning for *Josee, the Tiger and the Fish* below! Read at your own risk. ===

On top of that, we had a members-only watchalong this week for *Josee, the Tiger and the Fish*! It was so good! I learned that tears are just as salty as the ocean! (?) The emotional rollercoaster of sweet, bitter, and then peaceful resolution really drives home the idea that you never know what tomorrow might bring. First, the grandmother's sudden passing catches you completely off guard, shattering the illusion that those happy days would last forever. Then, the female lead is forced to choose between her dreams and reality, leading to a huge fight between the main couple. Out of nowhere, the male lead gets hit by a car, plunging him into his own depressive slump where he has to face that same dilemma between dreams and reality. In the end, they both manage to strike a balance, choosing to live in the real world while still fighting for their dreams. They finally get together, which calls for a celebration! Even though I personally didn't really get the second female lead's actions LMAO. Still, the supporting cast are great people and solid friends the male lead can rely on, which is awesome.

Well, that just about wraps up this week's journal! I'm typing this on 5/18 (sorry I'm two days late on this), so tonight at 8:00 PM I'll be heading over to Yoyo's place to play Interview Monopoly! Make sure to catch the stream or watch the VOD~
