Chapter.75 03/21/2024 Deep Space Lord's Weekly Journal
Hey everyone! It's time for our weekly journal update!
Ribbit! This week was packed—I played that mountain climbing game, Pokémon, worked on some Live2D, and jumped into The Finals with Piro and Moon. To top it off, I ventured into the Iceborne expansion and successfully hunted down three ice dragons. Allow me to brag for a second!
The climbing game is actually surprisingly relaxing. Even though I hadn't figured out how to get past the gear section by the time I ended the stream, I've now managed to reach the steel beams. But man, the steel beam section is brutal! I have absolutely no idea how to approach it, so I'll just have to keep trying via trial and error. I'm thinking about tackling it on my next climbing stream—what do you guys think?
I finally finished the second part of the Pokémon DLC! I even watched the hidden epilogue. The story is totally based on the legend of Momotaro, right? I definitely didn't expect that peach at the end to be an evil Pokémon too, haha. And honestly, Ms. Briar's behavior had me convinced she was the villain the entire time, but it turns out she’s just a bit overly enthusiastic. Now we just have to wait for Pokémon Legends: Z-A! I'm really looking forward to next year—it feels like we've got a ton of huge titles lined up to play.
As for Live2D, I used "Sese" from the recent course as my project. I have to say, Sese gave me a ton of inspiration, and she turned out super cute! (If I do say so myself.) I'm hoping I can make her feel even more lively and expressive as I continue working on her.
It's been a while since I picked up my guns in The Finals, but it doesn't feel like I've lost my touch! I actually felt like my aim was pretty on point, and I got quite a few highlight-reel plays. My teammates, Piro and Moon, played great too, and I think our teamwork was pretty solid. The new Power Shift mode is especially fun—defending the platform makes throwables super useful. If you haven't uninstalled the game yet, you should definitely give it a try!
Lastly, Monster Hunter! It's so insanely fun! There's just something so satisfying about hunting dragons. It feels especially amazing slicing through them once you equip a charm with Critical Eye! During the stream, I mentioned wanting to craft the Nightshade Paolumu Insect Glaive, but after looking into it a bit more, it seems like an Ice element glaive might be the better choice? So right now, I've got my sights set on the Velkhana weapon tree. The problem is, I don't think I can encounter Velkhana in my current quests, and I haven't seen one when joining other people's SOS flares either. I might just have to grind through a few more quests to unlock it (or just let you Little Cottons carry me, hehe XD).
On another note, I've been looking for some ASMR to listen to lately, but I've realized it's getting really hard for me to get those tingles in the back of my head anymore. I think I might be building up an immunity to it? It's so tough finding the right ASMR that actually triggers those brain tingles QQ. I wonder if my headphones have something to do with it?
Well, that was a quick recap of my week! That's about it for this week's journal. Goodnight, my Little Cottons!
