Chapter.71 02/22/2024 Deep Space Lord's Weekly Journal

Hey everyone! It's time for our weekly journal once again!

Hey guys, it's A-Mian, and I'm late with my journal today! Last time I posted early, everyone got suspicious and actually thought my mom wrote it for me, so I decided to purposely be a little unpunctual this time around! (Totally just an excuse lol)

I recently saw a new keyboard app on Twitter called ASUS Smart Input. People were recommending it and saying how great it is, so I got curious and downloaded it to try. I've always wanted an input method where I didn't have to constantly switch between half-width and full-width characters, and honestly, it blew me away! You don't have to awkwardly toggle between English and Chinese anymore, and typing full-width punctuation is super easy—you just press one button to bring up a mini keyboard! It's incredibly handy! The only thing that takes some getting used to is that you can't really type Zhuyin phonetics out of order; otherwise, it won't recognize the Chinese characters and will just spit out English letters instead. I highly recommend it to any of my Little Cottons who have the same typing struggles!

Aside from the new input method, the keyboard I pre-ordered on a crowdfunding platform finally arrived today! It has yellow switches, and the tactile feel is definitely completely different from blue switches. It feels softer, and the bottoming-out sound is much quieter. It types really smoothly, and I actually quite like the sound it makes. Even though it's a night-and-day difference from my last keyboard and will take some getting used to, the color is absolutely gorgeous! I feel like almost everything I've bought recently has been in warm tones (like browns and yellows). My desk mat is pastel yellow, my Pikachu mouse is bright yellow, my chair is khaki, and now this keyboard is a milky coffee color—literally almost everything! In color psychology, using warm colors is supposed to put you in a better mood, and honestly, I think it's really working!

Oh, right, about that chair I mentioned last time! Even though you guys suggested I go to a showroom to test it out before deciding, the lazy spirit inside me ultimately won out. I ended up finding one on Shopee that looked perfect and just bought it. (Mainly because I didn't want to wait for a furniture expo, and I also had budget constraints, so I just went for it early.) It's got faux leather upholstery, the cushion is pretty soft, and it's quite roomy. Even with the armrests, there's still enough space for me to sit cross-legged! It even has a built-in massage function, and it reclines with a footrest. Honestly, it has everything I need, and the price was right on budget, so I just grabbed it! So far, it's super comfortable to sit in, but I'm definitely going to need the AC on in the summer, and the faux leather might eventually crack over time. Today and tomorrow (2/23 and 2/24), I'll be doing some offline interactive streams at FF42! On the first day, I'll be at the Flora Expo Gathering Station with Zhimajiang and Liv. On the second day, I'll be at the Kingdom Broadcasting Bureau booth with Liv. I can't wait to see you all!
