Chapter.70 02/15/2024 Deep Space Domain Lord's Weekly Journal
Hey everyone! It's that time of the week again for our weekly update!
Hey guys, it's Amian, bringing you this week's journal right on schedule!
The long holiday weekend is officially over, and it's the first day back to reality. Shoutout to all my Little Cottons who survived their first day back at work or school—you did great! Let me give you a virtual shoulder massage. Make sure you get a good night's rest tonight!
I used to get so ridiculously excited for long weekends. I’d spend the whole day just holed up at home—even if I did absolutely nothing, I was thrilled. Going out was fun too, but honestly, just being on break was the absolute best! But going back to the daily grind after a vacation always comes with a bit of a slump. I’d constantly calculate when the next holiday was and plan out what I was going to do, haha. Back then, my go-to holiday routine was booting up my favorite MMOs. There were always special holiday events running, so I'd just grind those out and run dungeons. Looking back, it was a mix of pure joy and... maybe a little bit of emptiness? (lol)
This past week, we played Enshrouded, did a Lunar New Year Day 2 chatting stream, hunted some monsters on Day 4, and played Cooking Simulator for Valentine's Day. We’ve got a massive server-wide group event coming up in Enshrouded either next week or the week after, which I'm super hyped about. Playing with everyone is always a blast! During the vertical chatting stream on Day 2, we got a huge spike in subscribers. We didn't quite hit the 7,000 mark that day, but the Shorts we uploaded the next day got picked up by the algorithm, and we blew right past 7K! Add in the lucky scratch-off red envelope proxy from Lixia during the Monster Hunter stream, and our sub count just skyrocketed this week. I seriously owe it all to your amazing support! I actually took a peek at our backend analytics later on. From our debut in April 2021 to April 2022, we hit about 3,000 subs. Then by April 2023, we were around 5,000. Going by this trend, we should be sitting somewhere between 7,500 and 8,000 by this April! It’s been steady, solid growth every year, but I'm definitely pushing myself to grow even more in the future. :D
I'll be counting on all of you to keep pushing forward with me!
I tried out a new weapon during our Monster Hunter stream—the Bow! (Honestly, I’d never used anything other than the Insect Glaive before). It was so much fun! Since it's a ranged weapon, it feels like I take way more damage when I get hit. Plus, I’m still not used to the pre-hunt prep, so it felt like I’d shoot twice and then have to stop to catch my breath and recover stamina. But surprisingly, my overall hunt times were about the same as when I use the glaive! A huge thanks to all my Sapphire Star Little Cottons for helping me track down the Rathian ??? clues all over the map. I should definitely be able to actually fight her on the next stream!
Yesterday's Cooking Simulator stream was unexpectedly hilarious. I felt like I was in an especially great mood the whole time, just like when we played Truck Simulator. It genuinely made me wonder—do simulator games just inherently hype me up? It's so weird! XD I also feel like my banter and trash-talking skills leveled up significantly yesterday. What do you guys think?
By the way, during the Day 2 chatting stream (or maybe it was another one?), I distinctly remember a specific moment that would make a perfect highlight clip, but for the life of me, I can't remember when it happened. Do any of my Little Cottons have a timestamp they can recommend to jog my memory? And not just for the Day 2 stream—I’m totally open to timestamp suggestions for any of our past VODs! Thanks a million! <3 (Does anyone even remember what "less than 3" means anymore? ><)
Anyway, that wraps up this week's journal. I'll see you all next week—goodnight!
