Chapter 69: Deep Space Domain Lord's Weekly Journal (02/10/2024)

Hey everyone! It's that time of the week again—time for another weekly journal!
This week's entry is going up a little late, but since it's the Lunar New Year, I'm sure you guys will forgive me for being a bit tardy, right? (lol)
I ended up catching a cold this week. I'm not exactly sure what bug I caught, but it made me miserable for days. The worst part was this weird, gross taste in the back of my throat whenever I swallowed—it honestly made swallowing feel like an absolute nightmare. I've also had intense brain fog for days. Didn't I just have a cold not too long ago?! It feels like I'm getting sick way too often. From now on, I need to make a habit of going up to the roof to soak up some sun as soon as I wake up. Sunlight is good for you! An apple a day keeps the doctor away!
This week on stream, I played some Pokémon, Monster Hunter, and even did a long-overdue just-chatting session! A huge shoutout to everyone who traded me that shiny Milotic and those incredibly overpowered legendaries in Pokémon. I really appreciate all your generous gifts—they seriously warmed my heart! ☺️💖 Because I wasn't feeling 100% and didn't have time to grind levels off-stream, I didn't make much progress in the main story. But thanks to you guys carrying me through Tera Raids and gifting me those awesome Pokémon, I know I'll definitely be able to take down Kieran next time!
As for Monster Hunter, we hunted *a lot* of monsters! It was especially awesome to see the majestic Zorah Magdaros again. Since it's an ancient Elder Dragon that literally looks like a walking volcano, its massive size makes it feel almost like a god! I definitely noticed the monsters hitting way harder this time around, though. Are the later hunts going to be this brutal?!
On New Year's Eve, I wrapped up all my work, put up my spring couplets, and actually managed to have a normal sleep schedule for once—waking up bright and early and staying up until nightfall. I even got some red envelopes that evening! I was so happy! Thank you all so much for the New Year's money, and my mom even gave me a red envelope too—proof that I'm still just a baby! I'm planning to use my New Year's money to buy a new computer chair. My current one has been holding on for dear life for way too long. I'm looking for something comfortable but relatively affordable, with a budget of around one to two thousand NT. If any of my Little Cottons have good recommendations, please drop them in the comments!
I also finally finished reading that web novel I mentioned a few weeks ago—*The Second Wife*. It's rare for me to actually finish a novel, but the writing in this one was incredibly solid from start to finish, and the ending was super satisfying. It's an easy 10/10 in my book and definitely one of my recent favorites. If any of you are into romance novels, I highly recommend checking it out! The female lead's character growth is just phenomenal.
I just picked up another new novel recently called *After Transmigrating into a Cyberpunk Game, I Killed the Boss and Took Their Place*. The pacing is incredibly fast, yet every chapter is absolutely packed with lore. The complex, brain-twisting rules and situations make it such a thrilling read! I can't wait to see what kind of ultimate boss the protagonist will have to face once they fully level up!
Well, that wraps up this week's journal! Catch you all next week!
