Chapter.68 02/01/2024 Deep Space Lord's Weekly Journal

Hey everyone! It's time for the weekly journal!
February is here! The weather's been warming up lately, but the cold air seems trapped in my apartment, so it still feels pretty chilly indoors. I took a trip to visit my hometown today, and the second I got back, it felt like all my energy was completely gone. I'm totally wiped out! LOL
I wrapped up a project last week, and now I'm diving straight into the next one! This project features a character I've worked on before, but this time we're adding color. I took the opportunity to tweak the facial perspective. I've realized lately that there are so many different ways to handle perspective, and no matter which method you use, throwing in a Z-axis head tilt makes the underlying logic a total headache! LOL Regardless of the technique, I just think making it look good is what really matters.
I played Monster Hunter this week and made it to Legiana! Fighting it with the Insect Glaive is so much fun! Since you can hit it while airborne, you rarely miss, and landing those combos feels incredibly satisfying! Plus, Legiana is actually pretty beautiful. Its massive wings give off butterfly vibes—it's such an elegant dragon. That reminds me, what kind of dragon did you guys say I'd be again?
Aside from Monster Hunter, I also did some calligraphy for red envelopes and square spring couplets this week! My handwriting is pretty nice, isn't it? Since I still have some stock left over, I'll be offering them again next year! Do you think I should try doing traditional spring couplets next time?
I recently started rewatching *The Eminence in Shadow*. I didn't notice it the first time around, but looking back, you can really tell they had a solid budget—the animation and visual effects are fantastic. The way comedy suddenly pops up right in the middle of a serious scene often has me thinking, "Wait, you can actually do that?!" I also checked out *Mr. Villain's Day Off*. Seeing this wholesome episodic series adapted into an anime is still so heartwarming, and the concept of a villain who loves pandas is just way too cute!
I'm finishing up this journal entry while eating dinner! Today, I'm having convenience store beef curry rice. Honestly though, I think everything in this curry rice is delicious—except for the actual beef! LOL I also recently discovered a spot that sells amazing egg tarts! Aside from being a little on the sweeter side, I'd say they're just as good as the ones from KFC. Pure happiness!
Well, that's it for this week's journal! I'll be uploading the highlights from our recent group collab tomorrow, so make sure to check it out!!
