Chapter.65 01/11/2024 Lord of the Deep Space Domain Weekly Journal

Hey everyone~ It’s time for our weekly journal again!
I’ve realized I’m turning into a serial offender for posting my weekly updates a day late. (Oops!)
I worked on some Live2D today, but spent most of my time editing my PC build video. It’s my first time putting together this kind of content, so I’m really curious to see if you guys will like it. I still want to add some character footage and voiceovers, and hopefully, I can get it all wrapped up before bed~
My current Live2D commission is going surprisingly smoothly. A lot of the credit goes to the artist for doing an incredible job separating the layers (I've been so lucky to work with artists who are amazing at this!), but it's also thanks to the new auto-generation feature for X and Y angles in Live2D. It saves so much time tweaking deformers, and the results are fantastic. I absolutely love how it's turning out!
I had streams playing in the background while I worked, so today was definitely a great day for recharging my DD energy! So happy! Listening to cute girls' voices is honestly so healing~ Sometimes I even go back and rewatch my own VODs. It’s surprisingly fun to listen to my own voice—even if it sounds a bit lower and raspy in some streams, it gives off kind of a cool, handsome vibe! Wow, that sounds super narcissistic... I know you Little Cottons rewatch my VODs a lot, so drop a comment and let me know how many you’ve caught up on!
Speaking of which, I've realized I really enjoy watching my own gaming streams, especially the parts where I'm pushing through difficult sections. I think it’s awesome seeing myself completely immersed in overcoming tough challenges, so I can't help but replay them over and over. LMAO. I guess that’s exactly why I love watching gaming streams, and why I love streaming games myself!
I tried doing a vertical stream for *The Song of Everlasting Sorrow* this week, and the results were actually pretty good! Though I feel like to really maximize the algorithm for vertical streams, you have to skip the waiting room and just go live right away? Doing away with the waiting room isn't really practical for my current setup, though!
I wonder if YouTube is going to throttle the traffic for vertical streams down the line. To me, Shorts and vertical streams are fundamentally different things, so it’s a bit weird that YouTube is putting them in the same lane. It feels like they're trying to leverage the Shorts audience to expand live streaming reach. I’m not super familiar with how they monetize Shorts, but if high view counts on vertical streams lead to massive ad revenue payouts, I can't see YouTube keeping things this way for very long.
Lately, whenever I wrap up my work in the middle of the night, I get incredibly hungry. And even after grabbing a late-night snack, I'm *still* starving. I don't know what's going on—am I getting ready to hibernate and just need to hoard calories? Anyway, I usually like to watch or read something while I eat, so I've started reading the *Delicious in Dungeon* manga. I gotta say, it's a bit of a shame when anime these days don't drop at least four episodes at once to really hook the audience. Both the *Delicious in Dungeon* and *Solo Leveling* anime only had one episode out. I watched them, immediately switched to the manga because I couldn't wait, and now I kind of don't want to bother keeping up with the anime anymore. (?) Though I guess this weekly release schedule used to be the norm, right?
Well, that’s it for this week's journal. See you all next week! Good night~
I'll leave you with a little MS Paint doodle from me!
