20231026 Deep Space Domain Lord's Weekly Journal Chapter 53

Hey everyone! It's that time of the week again for another weekly journal!

KFC recently launched a new peeled chili paper-wrapped chicken, and I dragged my mom to go buy it right after my classes today! I got out of class about half an hour before the scheduled pickup time, so my mom and I just hung out and waited inside KFC for a bit. By the way, when you guys order food online for in-store pickup, do you usually go right up and ask if your food is ready as soon as you get there, or do you just wait until they call your number?

Once I got home, I just washed my hands real quick and dug right in! But honestly, it didn't really taste like the chicken soup vibe I was expecting. It wasn't sour enough. It definitely had a spicy kick to it, but oddly enough, it also had a subtle taste of Chinese herbal medicine??? Anyway, a peeled chili dish that isn't sour just doesn't get my seal of approval. The broth was pretty fragrant though, and the rice it came with was decent. Honestly, the most amazing meal I've had from KFC so far is still their Sichuan peppercorn fried chicken. It’s seriously so good—super fragrant and perfectly numbingly spicy. Their non-fried-chicken items still kind of fall short. I saved an egg tart for later though, and I'm gonna gobble it down in one bite the second I finish writing this journal!

Apex is getting another update soon. The changes this season actually look pretty good, so I'll probably play a few more rounds when the new season drops—though I feel like I always say that and then never actually play (?). But the new character looks super interesting! Honestly, no matter what game it is, if they drop a new character, I'm absolutely gonna play the heck out of it!

I played some Haya World this week. I feel like it combines a lot of elements from games I've played before, so it was pretty easy to get the hang of. I mostly understood what I was supposed to be doing right off the bat. But with these kinds of survival crafting games, it's definitely way more fun when you have more people. I really want to find some friends to play it with later. I’ve always liked survival crafting games, but it used to be a bummer because I never had anyone to play with. Now I actually have friends to play with, but there are just way too many games and simply not enough time to play them all.

Besides Haya, we also started our second run of The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood. I feel like the plot hasn't progressed much—did I just spend the whole time yapping instead of actually progressing the story??? I'm not really sure if you guys want to watch the entire plot unfold, or maybe I should just record it as a video playthrough? I feel like I've never really tried recording a full playthrough of a game as a regular video before (highlight reels don't count), so maybe I should give it a shot!

I've also been reading quite a few novels lately, and I stumbled upon a really good BL novel! But you guys probably aren't interested in that, haha.

(If you are interested, let me know in the comments!) Of course, it’s not finished yet. What’s even worse is that the chapters just recently went behind a VIP paywall, which means it’s gonna be an eternity before I can finally read the ending. *Crying* QQ

By the way, wasn't The Apothecary Diaries supposed to come out in October? I feel like I haven't seen it pop up on any streaming platforms yet. I don't think it's on Netflix either? If anyone spots it somewhere, please let me know. Arigato!

Well, that's it for this week's journal! See you all next week, good night!

P.S. Here’s a really terrible photo of my peeled chili chicken right before it met its demise.
