20230803 Deep Space Domain Lord's Weekly Journal Chapter 42

Hey everyone! It's time for our weekly journal update again!

I had terrible insomnia on Tuesday for some reason. Even though I knew I had an early start the next day, I couldn't fall asleep all night. I tossed and turned from 1 or 2 AM until around 4 or 5 AM before giving up and getting out of bed to get some things done. I powered through until I had to leave at noon. On my commute, I was fighting the sleepiness so hard. My head kept bobbing, and I was genuinely worried I was going to pass out on the person sitting next to me. LOL.

Surprisingly, by the time I got off transit and reached my classroom, I was wide awake. I made it through the whole class without a hitch. After class, I took a detour to a music store and bought the very first electric guitar in Mianmian's life as a spirit entity! Although, my brain must have been fried from the lack of sleep because even with my map app open, I still managed to walk in the completely wrong direction after getting off, adding an extra 10 or so minutes to my walk... My legs are completely jelly today. T_T I mean, I can't be the only spirit entity whose legs turn to jelly after just a 30-minute walk, right? We spirits don't usually do a lot of walking!

The guitar I bought is a black Ibanez. I absolutely love how it sounds! Since Mianmian is a total beginner, I'm going to look for a teacher to take lessons from. The staff at the store showed me the basics of holding and playing it. I realized the fingering is actually pretty tough, but playing it feels amazing! I can't wait until I can play a full song! Plus, the distortion effect is so sick—playing rock on this is going to be epic!

I didn't stream yesterday because I was physically and mentally drained, but I'll be live tomorrow! I want to try practicing some Only Up! speedruns. I also need to work on my chatting skills while I play! Fingers crossed the speedruns go smoothly! However, I recently took on a fairly urgent commission, so I might stream a bit less next week. I hope you guys understand! (praying hands)

As for the 2nd-anniversary merch I mentioned before that isn't open for pre-orders yet, the new samples won't arrive until the end of August. I want to make sure everything is perfect, so the pre-order period will be pushed back until I can confirm the samples look good. Thanks for your patience and understanding with this too!

I recently watched the anime you guys recommended last time: *The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen: From Villainess to Savior*. I thought it was pretty good, but there were some parts where I had to read the comments to fully understand the female lead's mindset. It's a shame the anime didn't flesh that out more, making her emotional shifts a bit hard to follow. It's an otome villainess series, but the main plot revolves around her wanting to become a good queen who serves her country and her people. I really like this storyline—I just hope it doesn't fall apart at the end! I also watched *Dark Gathering*, and it's incredible! I really like Yayoi—she's so badass and cute at the same time. Both the male and female leads seem a bit unhinged. I actually tried starting this show at night once, but I got so creeped out a few seconds into the first episode that I had to turn it off. Later, I remembered it during the afternoon, gathered my courage, and binged it up to the latest episode. It's so good! Highly recommend!
