20230727 Deep Space Domain Lord's Weekly Journal Chapter.41

Hey everyone! It's time for our weekly journal update again!

Did you all get some time off with the recent typhoons? The wind and rain were pretty intense here in the Deep Space Domain, so I ended up spending a perfectly normal day at home! It's been a while since I've seen a typhoon or heard such wild weather—I guess the rumors about Taiwan having a weather control weapon must be true after all!!! But honestly, even though getting a typhoon day off is fun, the damage they cause is super troublesome and dangerous. Now that I'm older, I kind of feel like it'd be better not to have typhoon days at all. Do you guys have to prep a lot to typhoon-proof your places? Like setting up floodgates or sandbags to keep the water out?

On Wednesday, I went to my first singing lesson! I've wanted to learn for a long time and even tried a few online courses, but I finally bit the bullet and found an actual studio to take in-person classes. The teacher is really young and super gentle. Following their lead makes learning vocal techniques feel really natural. I'm hoping to stick with it so my voice can get more and more stable!

Since I started singing lessons, I got a bit greedy and thought, why not pick up the electric guitar while I'm at it? The Bocchi the Rock! craze definitely sparked a wave of people wanting to learn, but I heard a lot of folks ended up selling their guitars once the hype died down. It's kind of a bummer, but hey, maybe Mian can score a sweet deal on a used one? After doing a little research, I'm planning to hit up a music store to look for a Les Paul or a Stratocaster, and then start taking lessons. I really hope I can learn to play a full song—and eventually perform it for you guys!

I recently read a really interesting fantasy novel called The Witch's Ninety-Year Compulsory Education. The main character is a witch who gets into the most famous magic school and ends up reforming the whole place. It's such a fun read! I've been really into fantasy lately, and this book nails the vibe—it totally matches the magical world I picture in my head. The way it describes all the different fantasy races is super engaging, too. Plus, the series is completely finished, so I highly recommend checking it out!

I also uploaded a new highlight reel on Monday! I'll drop the link right here~ https://youtu.be/qDLdcbxP3q4. If any of you Little Cottons haven't seen it yet, definitely go give it a watch!

That's all for this week's journal! See you next week!
