20230706 Deep Space Domain Lord's Weekly Journal Chapter.38
Hey everyone! It's time for our weekly journal entry again!
Okay, since I wasn't quite sure what to write about, I ended up going into full detail about my whole ordeal of getting sick (lol). If you're not into reading about that, feel free to skip this week's journal! I'm actually feeling a whole lot better as I write this. I managed to wrap up my work today and even sneaked in some Jump King practice. If my stomach doesn't randomly start acting up tomorrow, I should be able to stream! Yay! (But if my body is still protesting, I might take a bit more time to rest.)
I woke up freezing from the AC at 8 AM on Monday. I was shivering, had a stomachache, and my lower back was killing me—my whole body just felt completely off. At first, I thought I'd just tough it out and let the fever break on its own, but it was just too miserable, so I took some fever reducers. My fever finally broke around noon. My body stopped aching as much, and I actually had some energy, so I dragged myself out of bed to get through my planned work. But around 1 or 2 PM, I got hungry and went to grab some food, and the moment I ate, my fever spiked right back up!!! I was only halfway through my work!!! I didn't even hit a third of my planned progress!!! So, I spent the entire afternoon and evening passed out on the couch. Ugh, I was really hoping that if I finished enough work, I'd be able to join the Good Leopard Island event... QQ
In the early hours between Monday and Tuesday, I was starting to feel a bit better after sleeping, but then that familiar chill crept back in. I had to drag myself out of the air-conditioned bedroom and go back to lying paralyzed on the couch. I took another pill and buried myself under the blankets to sweat it out. By Tuesday morning, my temperature had dropped significantly, but I still felt awful. I had zero appetite and could barely eat a thing. I tried to capitalize on whatever bursts of energy I had to watch some anime and get a little work done, but I couldn't keep it up for long. I ate a quick meal, took some more medicine, and passed out again. In the afternoon, I finally went out to see a doctor. In Ami's family, we rarely ever go to the doctor just for a fever, so for a second, I honestly didn't even know what department to register under. I used to be so healthy! I have no idea what the heck happened lately for my health to just completely fall off a cliff like this (
Anyway, after consulting the almighty Google, I went to internal medicine, got some meds, went home, and spent yet another evening practically unconscious. When I woke up on Wednesday, I finally felt much better. But maybe because of the fever, my stomach became even more temperamental—it hurt every single time I ate! QQQQ Because of how I felt physically, my mood was strangely flat, almost suppressed to a weirdly calm low point. Honestly, I feel like you guys might actually really enjoy it if I streamed with that kind of energy?
My physical condition definitely turned a corner on Wednesday. Even though I woke up with my stomach completely killing me, the fever was gone, and my mental energy was vastly improved! In the afternoon, I went back to the traditional Chinese medicine clinic for a follow-up. I told the pretty doctor that I wanted to try acupuncture, so I had my very first acupuncture session! It was so cool!!! I used to be absolutely terrified watching my mom get acupuncture; it just looked like it would hurt so much! Even though she always swore it didn't hurt, I was still super skeptical but always wanted to try it out someday. Right after the session, my lower back pain felt so much better, but once I got home, the soreness started creeping back. I really wish there was a permanent cure for muscle aches...
Getting sick made my memory feel so hazy, and time just seemed to slip by in a blur. It kind of felt like I was completely disconnected from the world, haha! Plus, it's so easy to get down on yourself when you're sick—you just get this feeling of being left behind by everyone else QQ. I hope both my Little Cottons and Ami never get sick in the future, and even if we do, that we bounce right back!
Well, there's no light novel recommendation this week! That's all for now. See you guys next week, bye! (Sorry, no pictures to share this time around.)
