20230622 Deep Space Domain Lord's Weekly Journal: Chapter 36

Hey everyone! It's that time of the week again—time for another weekly journal catch-up!

I haven't been feeling my best this week, so I went to see a traditional Chinese medicine doctor. Now I have to spend the next few days chugging down some incredibly bitter, nasty-tasting herbal medicine. The crazy part? It tastes exactly like the stuff I had to drink as a kid! Do they all just use the exact same prescription? This is my first time going to a TCM clinic to get my health regulated. I'm really hoping it helps me fix my sleep schedule and finally get rid of all these random aches and pains. Honestly, I've been thinking—if I just turned into a cyborg, I wouldn't have to deal with physical pain anymore, right?

Because of these nagging little health issues, streaming for long hours lately has really been draining my energy. I feel like my stamina is depleting so much faster now, lol. I might take an extra day off next week just to rest up (and to quickly wrap up the rest of my work!).

Tomorrow at 2 PM, I'm teaming up with Aya and Guang for a soccer tournament. Our team name is Pretty Cure! We had a practice session today along with a tutorial from the organizers, and I'm actually feeling a bit more confident about tomorrow's match. Before that, I had honestly already mentally prepared myself to shave my head and post a bald selfie as punishment. The rules of this game are super complicated, but as we keep playing, I'm starting to get the hang of the mechanics. It really takes me back to when I first started playing Apex. It's genuinely a fun game, and I highly recommend you all give it a try!

This week, I've still been bouncing back and forth between Rust and Sekiro. I'm making decent progress learning the ropes in both, but I always die so fast in the second phases of boss fights. It's definitely going to take a lot of patience to grind through it. Also, my audio interface kept acting up while I was playing Sekiro. Part of me just wants to buy a new one, but I should probably do some more troubleshooting first. I haven't tried cleanly uninstalling the drivers yet, so next time I'll see if there's a software conflict with other programs on my PC. Maybe just rolling back to an older driver version will fix the issue.

Today is the Dragon Boat Festival! I originally planned to wake up early to collect some "Noon Water," but I ended up sleeping in until almost 1 PM—someone save me. My mom absolutely roasted me for it. Do you guys have a tradition of preparing Noon Water? Come to think of it, it's been ages since I tried balancing an egg on its end. I'll definitely have to try that next Dragon Boat Festival!

My novel recommendation for this week is *My Monumental Contributions to the Cultivation World*. The female lead is an unlucky girl who accidentally gets transmigrated into the wrong world, leaving her with an incredibly frail body. As compensation, the system lets her pick a reward. She originally wanted to choose cultivation power, but her hand slipped and she selected money instead, instantly scoring a billion spirit stones! She decides to use her newfound wealth to save the main and supporting characters from their tragic fates, slowly altering the established timeline. The novel isn't finished yet, but I absolutely love the protagonist's personality, so I highly recommend it to everyone!

See you all in the next journal! Goodnight, my little cotton puffs! Oh, and don't forget to check out the new stream highlights I just uploaded!
