20230525 Deep Space Domain Lord's Weekly Journal Chapter.32

Hey everyone, A-Mian here! Thanks for tuning in to another weekly journal!
Lately, the algorithm has been recommending me some seriously old videos. My homepage is suddenly full of clips and highlights that I used to find absolutely hilarious back in the day. I'm talking about Resident Evil playthroughs by Lu Dan and Liu Tan, TGOP's classic quote series, and even old-school Minecraft YouTubers I used to follow religiously like Tsai I and Wu Qiu Feng... Is retro making a comeback or something?
Whenever I rewatch these classic videos, I can't help but think, "I want to be like them." Not just to be famous, but to have staying power—to leave a lasting impression on people. Even if it's just a fleeting memory, I want someone to eventually stumble upon my content one day and think, "Wow, A-Mian is still around. I'm so glad I can still watch this!" XD
This week, I started another playthrough of Sekiro! Going through it a second time hits completely differently. Even though I've already beaten the game once, I still find myself getting lost all the time. But honestly, I see that as an absolute win! I bought Sekiro on sale, and replaying it still gives me a fresh experience—so girl math says the game was basically free, right?! I actually don't usually replay games after beating them (mostly because doing New Game Plus means sitting through the same story all over again). If a game has multiple endings, I'd rather just watch someone else's stream or video to find out what happens. But playing Sekiro on NG+ finally made me understand why people love doing it! Bosses that wiped the floor with me on my first run are suddenly much easier to read. The fights become an actual back-and-forth exchange, kind of like a good rally in badminton where both players are at the exact same skill level and the shuttlecock never drops. It's so incredibly satisfying!
It feels like we're having another wave of sickness going around lately. Not just COVID, but it seems like Influenza A is spreading too. I've noticed quite a few Little Cottons mentioning they've caught a cold or are feeling under the weather. Please take care of yourselves, get plenty of rest, and drink lots of warm water so both your body and mind can fully recover! I don't get sick very often, but when I was still in school, I used to secretly hope I'd catch a fever or a typhoon would roll in just so I could get a day off. Am I the only one who thought like that? XD
Speaking of typhoons, a massive one just formed near Taiwan! The weather over the next few days is probably going to be super unpredictable. If you have to head outside, please stay safe! Don't forget your umbrella, keep your masks on, and be careful not to get blown away by the strong winds!
For this week's recommendation, I want to talk about an ongoing web novel called *Damn! She Pulled It Off [Infinite]*—this is the one I promised to tell you guys about last week! The female lead is actually a spirit (her true form is a traditional bridal gown) who was forced to take human form due to the laws of heaven. To repay a Taoist priest who helped her transform, she joins a government-sponsored live-streaming show. The premise involves helping ghosts fulfill their dying wishes so they can peacefully move on and reincarnate. The pacing across the different story arcs is fantastic. It's got everything—suspense, plot twists, emotional moments, and thought-provoking social cases. The mix of live-streaming and the infinite flow genre works really well, and the main character completely steals the show! I highly recommend checking it out.
That's it for this week's journal! Thanks so much for reading, and I'll catch you guys next week!
