20230413 Deep Space Domain Lord's Weekly Journal - Chapter 26

Hey Little Cottons! Tomorrow is our two-year anniversary! I just can't seem to shake the nerves—I can already tell I'll be pulling another all-nighter tonight, ahhhh!

While chatting with friends this week, we sang for each other, and they told me my singing has improved! I've been feeling it too; lately I have a much better sense of how to use my voice. I remember reading somewhere that practice makes perfect, and it feels like I've finally found the right way to grow!

I've been organizing all the messages you guys left for Amin over the past few days. Reading through everyone's comments actually made me tear up a bit LOL.

I also received a gift that brought me a lot of peace. It's something I struggled with for a long time, but having you guys here has helped me let go of so much. As for what exactly I found closure on, I'll tell you all about it tomorrow!

I read a novel this week with a plotline that really stuck with me. I'm sure you're all familiar with *The Peach Blossom Spring*, right? The main character in this book is a "rule explorer" (think of internet rule-based horror stories, and it makes more sense). He and his teammates arrive in a rule-based horror world featuring a village just like the one described in *The Peach Blossom Spring*. To escape this world, they have to uncover the truth behind the village. In the original fable, the village is an isolated utopia. But in this horror world, it exists entirely because of quantum mechanics. The people living there exist in a state between reality and illusion. If someone observes the village unintentionally—like casually catching it on camera or entering a near-death state—they might slip into it. But if you actively try to look for it, you'll never find it.

*The Peach Blossom Spring* was originally just a utopia imagined by Tao Yuanming, but reframing it through the lens of quantum mechanics is such a cool concept. I'm really in awe of the author's creativity. Blending fantasy into science—or science into fantasy—feels like a very unique kind of romance to me.

The novel is called *A Guide to Roleplaying Rule-Based Horror (Infinite)*. I highly recommend it!

Alright, that's it for now! See you next week, and good night!

(And a huge thank you to Aya for making such a gorgeous schedule—I love you, Aya!)
