20230105 Deep Space Lord's Weekly Journal Chapter.12

I did my first White Chord stream this week, and we had so many new viewers drop by because of the game. I was thrilled to see so many "first time here" messages! Seeing fresh faces injected into an otherwise completely green chat room brought this indescribable mix of excitement and nerves! (And definitely not because even more people were watching me be a total klutz.) I also got crazy lucky—I pulled three Xiaoxis in just 80 rolls. A-Mian really is the embodiment of good luck, right?

This collab really showed me that the mobile gaming crowd is actually pretty interested in watching VTubers. If this kind of crossover can keep growing, it would be a huge boost for the VTuber scene as a whole. Honestly, I'd love to end up as a beloved character in a mobile game someday, just shining bright in-game. I believe that if we keep working hard, any VTuber has a shot at making it into a game! (Secretly plugging Gacha Princess's idle mobile game here—it features so many adorable Taiwanese VTubers! ＞https://twitter.com/HoMETE_CHANNEL/status/1518811662241112064)

I had some more of my mom's delicious homemade soup today. It was a pork cartilage soup packed with mountain crown daisy. It tastes a lot like regular crown daisy, but it looks completely different. I absolutely love crown daisy—especially in hot pot. It's an absolute must-have; a hot pot without it just has no soul! Of course, crown daisy and taro are mortal enemies. If anyone dares to put taro in my hot pot, we're throwing down!

I'm planning to get an AC unit installed in my room this winter. I tried using a portable one before, but it was just way too loud—there was no way I could use it while streaming. After buttering up my mom for ages, I'm finally getting an inverter AC for my room! Plus, I heard we're getting a NT$6,000 payout after the Lunar New Year, along with a NT$2,000 tax rebate for energy-efficient appliances. If not now, when? Do you little cotton balls have any plans for your $6,000? I heard some of you want to upgrade your PCs, while others have no idea what to spend it on yet. Let A-Mian know in the comments!

I also started reading a new web novel today. It's an infinite flow story, and it's already completely finished! I read the first 20 chapters, and both the writing style and the plot are totally my jam. I'll probably take my time reading through the rest of it soon! I'll share the title with you all once I'm done! Also, that subverted-trope showbiz novel I mentioned last time is wrapping up soon too. It's so good, though the ending caught me off guard a bit. That doesn't stop it from being a great read, though—I'll share that one with you all when it officially ends as well!
