20221208 Deep Space Lord's Weekly Journal Chapter.8

I shared how to calculate your lucky number with you guys before—do you still remember? You take your full birth date and add the digits up like this: e.g., 2+0+2+1+4+1+4 = 14. Then you reduce it to a single digit: 1+4 = 5. So, 5 is Mian's lucky number! I actually have more than one, though; besides 5, 7 is also my lucky number!

So, I went out and bought a lottery ticket yesterday. I'm definitely hitting the jackpot this time! Once I win, I'm going on a massive shopping and commissioning spree. I'll make way more merch, and we might even be able to do monthly membership rewards!!! Two wallpapers a month! A new outfit every six months! Vote for Mian! (?)

The weather has been getting much colder lately. Here in the Deep Space Domain, I've already busted out my ultra-thick winter comforter for the nights. It's so thick and heavy, which makes me feel incredibly secure. I feel like a little snake in hibernation, just curled up in bed with absolutely zero desire to get up.

I spent the last couple of days catching up on Chainsaw Man. Episode 8 completely blew my mind, yet somehow it also felt like exactly what should happen. I honestly thought Denji was the only one who could transform like that, but it turns out there's a second one?! I'm actually more curious about the mechanics behind how you even get a transformation like his in the first place.

The novels I've been reading lately are also pretty animal-focused. One is about a vet who has the ability to talk to animals. He goes from working at a local clinic to becoming a researcher, following top-tier experts to places bursting with biodiversity—like the African savanna, the Arctic, and the Amazon rainforest—for animal rescue and research. He uses his ability to bond with the animals, get out of dangerous situations, and make big breakthroughs in his work. The novel is already finished, but I'm over 200 chapters in and it still doesn't feel anywhere close to the end. I'm really excited to see where the main cast goes next and what cute animals they'll run into! The book is called *My Life as a Vet*—you guys should check it out if that sounds up your alley!
