20221117 (Late) Deep Space Domain Lord's Weekly Diary Chapter.5

I'm so sorry! This dummy Amin totally forgot to post an update!!! (Bows deeply OTZ)

(Heads up: Pokémon spoilers ahead!)

This week I uploaded a short cover of Pure White Vow, and I was super nervous about it! >< I must have practiced over 50 times before getting a few takes I was actually happy with lol. I had to worry about how the avatar recording looked, making sure my vocals were on beat, and remembering to turn on the echo, so I clumsily practiced for ages. Even then, the takes I liked at the time sounded a bit weak when I listened back later. I really need to work on my lung capacity (I kept running out of breath trying to sing it! XD)

Pokémon launched on 11/18! But I couldn't wait and started playing early at 11:00 PM on 11/17. I spent all that time customizing my character but forgot to save! Luckily, it gave me an excuse to remake her even better. The character customization in this generation is incredibly detailed and looks amazing. There are so many gorgeous hairstyles, and you unlock even more as you progress through the game. The lavender eyes are a perfect match for my own!

I was genuinely blown away when I finally reached the city in this game! (Even though the grassy areas look a bit plain.) It totally gave me the same feeling I had playing Black/White or X/Y—that awe of seeing a massive city full of towering buildings. It's so cool! It really brought back that classic feeling of wonder.

This generation hands you a Legendary (aka your trusty HM slave) right at the start. And while they say you can tackle the three main storylines however you want, there are still quite a few restrictions that gently nudge you down the "right" path. Based on what I've played so far, the new systems really cut down on the frustration of random encounters. Catching Pokémon feels a lot easier now, too. That's a huge plus for me, because being forced into random battles used to be such a pain! XD

I highly recommend picking it up and giving it a try!

I also watched Chainsaw Man and Bocchi the Rock! yesterday, and they're both incredibly good! Chainsaw Man is definitely on the gory side, but the music fits it perfectly! The plot might feel a bit cliché to me, but I found the theme really interesting—the idea that a dream the rest of the world sees as basic can mean absolutely everything to the person chasing it. It's definitely something worth thinking about.

Bocchi the Rock! is also a fantastic anime! The band's songs so far have been amazing. I'm especially in love with the lead singer's voice and the lyrics. They're such a unique band, and I can't wait to see more of their performances!

The only downside to both of these shows is having to wait for new episodes. T_T

Well, that's about it for this week's diary. Let me apologize to everyone one more time—I'm so sorry this dummy Amin forgot to update! >< Now, Amin is going to get back to her Pokémon journey~
