The early-access screening of Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM!

Three words: SO. FREAKING. GOOD.

*No major plot spoilers below, but since these are my genuine reactions, some things might slip through — read at your own risk.

I was over the moon! Absolutely buzzing with excitement!

Honestly, I was so nervous the night before I could barely sleep.

I mean, I'm a 20-year veteran SEED hater(?) — baby me used to glue myself to the TV every week following the original SEED broadcast, then kept following SEED Destiny episode by episode too.

I went through the whole emotional arc: loving SEED as much as I ended up hating Destiny.

I call myself a longtime SEED hater, but I have to admit, the SEED franchise really does have a lot going for it — the direction and staging are genuinely incredible.

I thought I was completely over Destiny and had zero love left for it, but the moment the movie's release date got announced, my heart started racing like crazy.

Excited, but scared to get my hopes up.

Hoping for the Cosmic Era's revival.

But also terrified this movie would flop and take whatever was left of the CE with it.

But it was SO GOOD!

I'll be honest, that day I was already dealing with a splitting headache from lack of sleep, plus my period decided to hit me at the worst possible time.

But the movie was so thrilling it made me forget both the headache and the cramps!

If SEED has ever been part of your life,

If you have any nostalgia for SEED at all,

If you've ever loved SEED,

Even if you went through the same love-to-hate journey with the SEED franchise that I did,

There's an extremely high chance you're going to love this movie.

FREEDOM has what the fans wanted to see.

FREEDOM has what the audience wanted to see.

FREEDOM has what YOU wanted to see.

After watching FREEDOM, I'm back to loving them again.

Never thought I'd go from a fan, to a hater, and back to a fan again.

FREEDOM actually pulled it off!

I ended up so overstimulated this weekend that my heart's still not feeling quite right ((
