Ah-Yao's Life Diary 2023/01/28

Let's just cut to the conclusion up front: don't fantasize about striking it rich overnight, staying grounded is the real truth of life😭

Plurk has a built-in random emoji feature, and a lot of people use it like rolling dice or asking a fortune-telling god for answers

There was a trend going around Plurk recently: "roll five lucky emojis in a row and go buy a scratch-off"

Ah-Yao hopped on the trend and gave it a try......

Whoa, five lucky rolls in a row!!

That basically means even if I don't hit the jackpot, I'm guaranteed at least a small prize, right!

Riding that confidence, I went and bought five One Piece scratch-off tickets!

Scratched them live on stream, feeling unstoppable!

And I didn't even win a consolation prize Rrrrrrrrrrrrrr

😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Staying grounded really is the only way, ughhhh

Though, maybe if I just buy one more ticket......this next one's definitely the one......

Anyway, does everyone read webtoons on their phone?

Ah-Yao used to really struggle reading manga on a phone or computer, especially the vertical-scroll webtoon format

(87-year-old Ah-Yao is still more of a physical-book, page-flipping kind of gal QQ)

But after getting more into webtoons the past few years and getting used to the scroll format, I've discovered a lot of genuinely fun series!

Like Korean webtoons, there's been a huge trend lately of reincarnation stories or Western royal-court settings

Ah-Yao is obsessed with any comic that has cute dresses in it!

I'll talk more about webtoons with you all sometime~

CCC Creative Comics also has webtoons up, so check it out if you have time~ You might just stumble on something great!

Thank you to Yoge for drawing so many Ah-Yao fortune slips this January, having this many Ah-Yao fortune slips right at the start of 2023 makes me so happy💙

I've actually used this chair on stream, by the way~
