An Unexpected European Trip: Budapest — Part 1

Last week, out of nowhere one afternoon, I got a message from work
telling me I needed to crew that night's flight to Europe, immediately.
Cue a mad scramble packing my bags, plus scrambling to handle and hand off everything I'd already had planned for the week.
And just like that, I landed in Europe (。・ω・。)
Apparently there was a typhoon hitting Taiwan that same week,
so I happened to dodge that miserable typhoon weather and ended up somewhere sunny and pleasant instead.
Pretty lucky, honestly (ゝ∀・)
This trip brought me to Budapest,
the capital of Hungary, and also one of the cheapest places in Europe cost-of-living-wise.
The easiest way to measure that is with Starbucks or McDonald's as your yardstick.
I got an extra-large Starbucks for under NT$90!! Exciting stuff, wakuwaku.
Budapest's tram system (Villamos) is one of the city's signature features, and it's also incredibly convenient.
The day pass is a steal too, under NT$150, and it covers buses, trams, and the metro, unlimited rides.
Here's that classic delicious European treat, chimney cake,
which I first laid eyes on years ago in Prague, and my very first thought was, huh, this looks exactly like tripe... (is it just me?)
Along the way we passed by a high school,
not totally sure if it was a fair or a club showcase or what.
Either way, your manager here couldn't resist sneaking in for a peek.
Spotted a few boys playing mini table tennis.
Watched for a while, thought about sneaking a photo, got caught immediately XD
Guess your manager just isn't cut out for mischief, after all~~
Fall here is genuinely lovely, temperatures hover around 18°C, dropping to about 10°C at night.
But thanks to the sunshine, it honestly doesn't feel cold at all!
That said, as someone who hasn't walked this much in over two years, I was absolutely dying by the end.
My watch kept pinging me, basically asking if I'd secretly started working out without telling it XD
Next post, I'll show you all Budapest's incredible night skyline.
That's it for today!
More staff glamour shots will be posted in the members-only section, come join the Luomiao faithful ♥
By manager Luomiao, with huge thanks to our staff for modeling for these photos.
