Kuku's Random Musings — 2023.7.10 🌞

It's been SO hot lately!!!
We've had a string of days that felt like over 100°F.
I swear this summer's been hotter than any summer I remember.
I'm convinced this is the polar bears getting their revenge.
I've also hit my super-busy season lately.
Every time I'm in a busy stretch like this, I turn into the most jaded version of myself.
For my day job, both mid-year and year-end are absolute chaos.
I call it "the suffering season."
It drags on for a full month of misery.
And if things get extra hectic on top of that, I basically want to quit every single day, lol.
I've also noticed something about this time of year:
I get sick way more easily.
Maybe it's the stress, or just being too busy? Not totally sure.
But all sorts of little ailments show up at once.
Canker sores, period cramps, my sinuses acting up even worse than usual.
When I'm not feeling well I also get kind of foggy-headed.
So it's this miserable combo of feeling sick, feeling dazed, and still trying to get everything done.
Send... help...
Almost through it though, almost there.
I wonder if everyone has some little mental anchor they lean on.
For me it's telling myself, "just push through a little more, hang on till next week and then you get to go do something fun."
I use that trick to motivate myself every single time (lol)
It gives me a reason to keep pushing.
Honestly it works really well, highly recommend it.
Think of whatever you're most looking forward to right now.
Could be good food, a trip somewhere, or even just catching up on a new anime you're into — that totally counts too (lol)
Alright, this week's Kuro to wrap up.
