The very first post of the new year!

Happy New Year, everyone! ╰(*°▽°*)╯

How did you all spend New Year's Eve?

I went out to dinner with friends and played Monopoly.

We ate at this really cool vegetarian restaurant.

Yep, vegetarian!

The Korean fried "chicken" and the burger patty you see in the photos below are both plant-based meat substitutes!

I used to have a pretty bad impression of fake meat.

Mostly because what I tried as a kid was awful XDD

So honestly I went in a little worried.

But turns out times really have changed (??

It actually tasted great, and the texture was surprisingly close to real meat.

And these days plenty of restaurants carry plant-based meat too.

I'm thinking I want to try other varieties next time.

Also, also!!

I bought new headphones!!

As for why I needed new ones...

well...

yep, Kuro chewed through my wired earbuds again, ugh.

The ones he destroyed were only a backup pair I'd been using in a pinch anyway, so I figured, fine, whatever.

But I genuinely had zero headphones left, so I went shopping while I was out.

Ended up bringing this pair home.

Went wireless specifically to cat-proof it against that little menace.

They're so comfortable, I really love them, highly recommend, and the sound quality's great too.

Guess this means gaming's about to get even scarier when the sound effects hit me now. Wonderful.

Last Christmas I got a package from A-Shen, and as always, he'd drawn a bunch of adorable versions of me all over the box.

I cut them out and stuck them up in my room again this time!

At this rate my walls are basically going to become an A-Shen shrine...

Lastly, this week's Kuro.

This time it's baby him, back when he was extra cute,

with those little pink paw pads!
