Pokémon Violet~ Got It!

Why am I only updating the log today?

Because I really wanted to actually play through Pokémon Violet first before writing about how excited I am~

Genuinely recommend picking this game up, whether you're new to Pokémon or a longtime veteran — if you've got some spare cash, it's worth grabbing!

I started off with Sprigatito this time — I'd call it a glass cannon, honestly? Hits hard, but goes down just as fast.

This game goes full open-world, which is a first for the mainline Pokémon series — super refreshing! But for a fairy who can get lost just looking at a map, it's, uh, a little unforgiving......

Especially early on, before your mount's leveled up, getting around the map is honestly a real struggle......

Tera Raid Battles are actually really fun — you can team up with others any time, anywhere, and just fire off moves or hype each other up whenever you want. That mechanic is genuinely fun!!!

Kind of like Dynamax back in Sword and Shield, you get some solid materials once it's over.

Xun Cao thinks this game's picnic system is super interesting!!

You can make sandwiches together, give your Pokémon baths, play catch with them~

But the best part is how it ties into egg hatching — in past games you always had to go to a set daycare to get eggs, but now you can just pop open your picnic basket anywhere, anytime. You can even eat egg-power sandwiches to boost how many eggs you get!
