Bean-Planting Diary from Mama's Garden — 6/3/2023

Time is flying by way too fast — after my period hit this week, my whole sense of time just went haywire and before I knew it, the soybeans in Mama's Garden are practically ready to be turned into soy milk...

This has been a genuinely full week — probably the first time since coming back from my break that I've packed a whole week with different projects, and I've also been trying to stay active on socials, join collabs, get dropped in on by everyone... and just now, we finally broke 2,500 subscribers! Huge thanks to Duoyu for the gorgeous fanart — I haven't gotten one in forever QQ

After hitting 2,000 subs, since I hadn't planned any big celebration and also didn't have time to put together my own projects, that whole stretch where subscriber growth just stalled out was really rough on me. I'd get through all my daily to-dos and just spend the leftover time anxious about my own channel, watching my concurrent viewers slowly decline, even starting to wonder if I just wasn't quick enough on my feet, if I wasn't an interesting person — I nearly lost my sense of direction completely.

I do want to give special thanks here — to Soda Papa for lighting a way forward for me during that rough patch; to my little siblings for stepping up to take on more chores so their big sister wouldn't have to worry as much; and to the Millet Puffs, who kept this whole Garden running in their own way the entire time I was gone — even though Mama's Garden briefly turned from a hangout for besties into basically a soybean fan club, it genuinely makes me happy.

We might not be the type to grow explosively, but every single step forward has been walked together with all of you, and I hope we get to keep writing more of this story together.

This week I also got a ton of amazing applications — so many good options I could barely choose XD I'm so excited to see what kind of new teammates we end up with! Interviews are already getting scheduled, so looks like next week's going to be another zero-social-life week for me XD
