[Hikari's Izakaya Diary] Wrapping Up September and Mid-Autumn Festival 2023/10/2

From now on I've decided every diary entry gets a food photo — if my busy life can still consistently produce good food pics, that probably means I'm doing okay lol.
Did everyone get their grilling on for Mid-Autumn Festival? Aside from Lunar New Year, Mid-Autumn is honestly my favorite holiday of the year, because it's the one day I get to really show off my grilling skills. I don't think the photo on the left needs much explanation — look at those perfectly pink beef short ribs, cooked to a flawless medium, juices locked in, crispy and fragrant on the outside, tender and savory inside.
I've basically been the designated grill master since middle school, mostly because I don't trust anyone else's grilling technique. The second I take full command of that grill, I get this surge of confidence — like that spot by the fire has always belonged to me. And here we are, over a decade later, still grilling.
This September was probably the busiest month of my entire VTuber career so far, mainly because I started editing my own highlight clips. But by the end of the month, I was finally starting to see results, so it feels like all those hours were worth it — I'm looking forward to sharing this month's numbers with everyone in the monthly report. That said, I also realized I probably spent way too much time this month chasing clips and views, and it ate into the energy I had left for actual streaming. Still, I learned a lot from it. Hoping to take a bit of a breather at the start of October and get my energy back, because streaming is supposed to be fun above all else — and honestly, I think viewers have started picking up on how worn out I've been. So this month, let me take it easy for a bit~ (Traveling for work 10/4–10/8, taking a break then too~)
