[Hikari's Izakaya Diary] My First Time Hosting a Group Event and My First In-Person Event 2023/8/20

Not sure if everyone enjoyed Tuesday's Pretty Cure-themed segment lol, but even though it looked like pure chaos, it actually took a surprising amount of prep work! When the Taiwan VTuber "Shaolin Soccer" exhibition match ended in a loss, I originally just planned to post a simple image about it — but then other VTuber friends piled on with jokes in the moment, and somehow we turned it into a full group event on the spot. Bet you didn't see that coming!?

Ever since joining SODAART, I'd wanted to try hosting one of our group events, and this time it just so happened to be my turn. Honestly, I'd never hosted a multi-person entertainment segment before — even though I thought I had decent experience under my belt by now, I was still nervous once we actually went live lol. I kept worrying whether the sets and videos we'd built for the stream would actually land the way we wanted. Looking back, this experience genuinely leveled me up, and I'd love to host more group events like this in the future — bringing everyone more fun along the way.

At this FF41, huge thanks to Wangguo Broadcasting Station for the warm invitation — they gave us a chance to interact with viewers in person for the first time, which was also a first for me in my whole VTuber career. I streamed from my own booth as usual, and honestly, right before going live I was terrified nobody would show up QQ. Turns out I worried for nothing — so many viewers came out to support us, including several familiar faces from stream. Thank you all for coming to hang out with us, it meant more than I can put into words.

Looking back on the whole week, I had such a great time bonding with the SODAART crew through all these events, especially the way we all helped each other out on stream — picking up the conversation, throwing out new topics, all of it. It really made me feel how well everyone looks out for each other. Which, come to think of it, makes sense — Hikari's actually the newest streamer in the whole group lol, I keep forgetting everyone else is technically my senior. Anyway, I learned a ton this week, but if every week were like this one, I think I'd burn out fast www.
