【Hikari's Izakaya Diary】A New Home, A Fresh Start 8/6/2023

I finally finished moving this week! Got the internet hooked up, the PC built, and all my streaming gear fully rigged up at last! This new place is exactly what I consider an ideal space for a streamer. I'm super excited about the content I'll be bringing you guys from here over the next year—assuming I don't get any noise complaints from the neighbors, lol.
Aside from the room being a great, cozy size for streaming, the new apartment comes with the kitchen I've been dreaming of! Honestly, my health has really taken a hit after a year of streaming, so I definitely need to start cooking for myself to get my diet back on track. Another thing that's been bothering me for a long time is my sleep quality. My old place had a massive room that was sweltering in the summer and freezing in the winter, and to top it off, it was right next to a loud main road. I seriously haven't had a good night's sleep in a year. But here? You can't hear the outside noise at all! I'm so relieved I could cry. I genuinely feel like I can finally live comfortably and peacefully in this new rental.
Oh, one more thing—I'm actually splitting the rent with a roommate this time around. Teaming up is the only way we could afford such an awesome place. Luckily, our daily schedules are completely opposite, so we never get in each other's way. I'm incredibly grateful for how well it worked out. Who knows, maybe they'll make a guest appearance on stream eventually?
Starting this month, I can finally get back to a stable streaming schedule and plan out new projects. My first major goal is to start editing my own highlight clips. Whether it's Shorts or full-length videos, I want to give you guys more creative content beyond just the live streams. I know I already said this during my one-year anniversary, but it bears repeating: I'm looking forward to the journey ahead, and as always, thank you all so much for your continued support!
